Sweet Baby Girl

Sweet baby girl, da da daaaa. Good times never seem so good!

Here are a few photos from the last few months. It's so sad to think that Miss P. is already 10 weeks old. Time flies so fast, it truly does.

My two P's. Oh I love them!

Easter afternoon at Grandma's.

Great Grandma Jackson visiting for her blessing.

Great Uncle Roice. He knew just how to hold her to help with her gas problem!

My Son, The Negotiator

Yesterday I desperately tried to get Parker to clean up his room. He is pretty good about putting stuff away around the house, but it's usually a fight to get him to clean up his room. So, when I went into his room for the third time, I was puzzled to find him standing in the middle of the mess staring off into the distance.

This picture is after our conversation below...

Here is how our conversation went:
Mom: "Parker, I am not going to ask you again. You need to get all of your toys picked up and put everything away. You can not come out of your room until you get it cleaned up." (I know, I am so mean)

Parker: "Mom, how about you pick up the toys and put them in the toybox, you pick up my train and then you pick up my books and put them on the bookshelf-- AND I WILL WATCH YOU."

I could not help but to laugh. In the time that he took to tell me what I should be doing, he could have had his room cleaned already. How is it that a 2 year old, already knows how to scheme, negotiate and bargain? It's like when he asks us for a treat... if we tell him not right now or after dinner, he always then asks us if he can just hold the treat. He inevitably ends up holding it in his mouth. I think we fell for that one once but everyday he still tries it. What a character!

He did finally clean up his room and it took him about 3 minutes!

Ahoy Matey!

His teeth are green here because he was eating candy. Just an FYI.

I have much blogging to catch up on, but I just had to share this...

Today we were out running errands...Parker, Preslie and I were waiting in the truck while Kory made a trip into the store. I was trying to keep Parker entertained so we were watching people--it was a nice day, so we had the windows down.
Parker loves cowboys and cowboy hats so when a man walked out in a cowboy hat I said, "Look Parker, a cowboy." He seemed pleased but then he noticed another man walking out. This was a large man with a red bandana tied on his head. Parker said, "Look mom, a pirate." I looked and realized that he did have his bandana tied on his head like a pirate. I responded, "Yeah Park, he does look like a pirate." Before I could even finish my sentence, Parker yells out, "AHOY MATEY!" The man quickly looked over at us and I could not help but to crack up. I have not laughed that hard in a long time.

I didn't know that he even knew that pirates said AHOY!

He keeps Kory and I laughing. He is so inquisitive and has such a fun sense of humor!

AHOY MATEY!
